My conversation with film music Maestro, Ennio Morricone
 
When I was in college in Rome, Italy, I had the great fortune to meet and interview my personal hero, Maestro Ennio Morricone. Mr. Morricone may be known to some of you as the composer of the famous Italian Westerns such as A Fistful of Dollars and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - but his musical legacy has encompassed many other interesting styles and genres. Anyone who loves movies will remember his outstanding work on Days of Heaven or The Untouchables. More recently, he won an Academy Award for Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, while other wonderful movies are also graced with his compelling music such as Cinema Paradiso, In the Line of Fire and The Mission. Maestro Morricone continues to work and tour around the world. He was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Oscars in 2007, the French Legion of Honor, as well as being the subject of a tribute CD featuring performances by Bruce Springsteen, Metallica and Quincy Jones called We All Love Ennio Morricone. - This interview appears here as my personal tribute to the gracious composer.
